TRAE 2.0 Released: Introducing a New Paradigm of AI Programming, "Contextual Engineer"

TRAE TRAE SOLO has officially released its 2.0 version, introducing a new feature called TRAE SOLO, which aims to redefine the role of AI in software development. Unlike traditional programming assistants, TRAE SOLO is positioned as a "Context Engineer," an AI agent that understands the big picture of a project and autonomously completes development tasks end-to-end.

It is capable of handling a wealth of contextual information, from product requirements documents (PRDs) to technical designs, from browser content to endpoint outputs.[2] This means that developers no longer need to manage an agent that doesn't know what it is they're doing. TRAE SOLO is currently in preview and is scheduled to be pushed out to users starting next Monday, July 21, 2025.

Pro users can unlock this mode with a "SOLO Activation Code". Each activation code will come with 200 additional quick requests. The activation codes will be distributed via Twitter, Discord, Reddit, and other channels, as well as through partner events.
