Equip AI Interviews is an online tool that uses artificial intelligence technology to automate the initial screening of candidates. The platform allows recruiters to create interview questions and set specific evaluation criteria. Candidates can answer the questions using text, voice or recorded video. The platform's artificial intelligence system instantly evaluates and scores the candidate's answers and generates a ranking based on the preset criteria. The tool supports translation and assessment in over 90 languages and is capable of handling tens of thousands of candidate applications simultaneously, thus greatly improving screening efficiency at the beginning of the hiring process. It is designed to mimic a human recruiter's assessment, while providing detailed explanations of scoring and allowing recruiters to manually modify scores to ensure accuracy.
Function List
- Multiple ways to answer:: Candidates can submit answers by typing, audio or video recording, providing recruiters with a richer dimension of assessment.
- Customized assessment criteria: Recruiters can set specific assessment points or a framework of ideal answers for each question, guiding the AI to more accurate scoring.
- Instant results generation:: Immediately after candidates submit their responses, the system generates assessment scores and rankings to speed up the screening process.
- Multi-language support:: The system is capable of translating and evaluating responses in over 90 languages, facilitating cross-border recruitment.
- Scale up treatment capacity: The platform is capable of evaluating tens of thousands of candidates simultaneously, making it ideal for handling large-scale recruitment programs.
- Transparent assessment process:: The system provides detailed justification and explanation of AI scoring, so recruiters can clearly understand the basis of assessment.
- Manual review and correction: Recruiters can check the AI scoring results at any time and manually modify the scores based on their judgment.
- Templates and customization issues: Users can use the interview templates provided by the platform or create entirely new interview questions based on the specific needs of different positions.
Using Help
Equip AI Interviews is available as an online service that requires no installation and can be accessed and used by both recruiters and candidates directly through a browser.
Recruiter Operational Process:
- Register and create an interview:
Visit the Equip AI Interviews website and register for an account. Once logged in, click on "Create a new interview" or a similar button to get started. You can choose to use one of the platform's preset interview templates or create an entirely new interview from scratch. - Designing interview questions:
Add questions to your interview. The types of questions can be very flexible, covering skills and knowledge, work experience, future plans, scenarios, and so on. For example, you could ask, "How do you handle a customer's complaint?" or "Describe one of your most successful projects in the past." Or "Describe one of your most successful past projects." - Setting the AI Evaluation Prompt:
This is the most critical step. For each question, you need to give the AI a clear description of what you expect a "good answer" to look like. This description is called an "assessment prompt". For example, for the customer complaint question above, your assessment prompt might be, "The answer should first demonstrate an intention to calm the customer, and secondly, suggest specific steps to resolve the issue, with a bonus if you mention how to prevent the problem from happening again." In this way, you can communicate to the AI what you are looking for in an ideal candidate. - Configuration interview format:
You can set which method candidates are allowed to use to answer, such as text only, video only, or all three (text, voice, video). Additionally, you can set a time limit for each question to be answered. - Invitation to candidates:
After completing the interview design, the system will generate an exclusive link. You can send this link to the candidate via email or other means. Candidates don't need to register or log in, click on the link to start the interview. - View and analyze results:
The AI evaluates the candidates as soon as they submit their answers. You can see a list of all the candidates on the backend dashboard, and they'll be ranked from highest to lowest based on the AI's score. By clicking on any candidate, you can see their specific answer (whether text, audio or video) to each question, along with the score given by the AI and detailed reasons for the rating. - Manual adjustment of scores:
If you think one of the AI's scores is not accurate enough, or if you want to combine it with other factors, you can simply modify the score manually. The platform will record these modifications and use them to optimize the performance of the AI model in the future.
Candidate Operating Procedures:
- receive link:: Candidates will receive a link to an interview.
- Begin interviews: Click on the link to go to the interview page, no login required. The page will show all the questions clearly.
- Answer the question: Depending on the recruiter's settings, candidates can answer questions by entering text in a text box, clicking the record button to speak, or turning on the webcam to record video.
- Submit your answer: Once you have finished answering all the questions, just click submit. The whole process is very convenient.
application scenario
- Massive Campus Recruitment
During the school recruiting season, companies usually receive thousands of resumes. Using Equip AI Interviews can quickly complete the first round of preliminary screening, effectively assessing candidates' basic communication skills, job knowledge and problem-solving ideas, and helping recruiting teams quickly target candidates worthy of moving on to the next round from a large number of applicants. - Recruitment for multilingual positions
For positions that require employees to have specific language skills (e.g., customer service, sales, marketing, etc.), recruiters can set up interview questions in the appropriate language and utilize AI's cross-language assessment capabilities to test candidates' language fluency and professional expression without the need for the recruiting team to master the language itself. - Initial screening for technical positions
When recruiting programmers, engineers and other technical positions, in addition to code testing, the company also cares about the candidate's technical understanding and communication skills. You can set some conceptual or project experience related questions, such as "Explain what a RESTful API is" or "What might happen if a message queue is full?" and let the AI evaluate the accuracy and depth of their answers. - Standardized remote interviews
For a global recruitment program spread across different time zones, coordinating interviews with real people is very difficult. With AI interviews, all candidates are evaluated under a single standard, avoiding possible bias due to different interviewers and ensuring fairness and consistency in the screening process.
QA
- Is this AI interview conversational?Does the AI ask follow-up questions?
It will not. The current system uses a fixed list of questions, and the AI does not follow up or start new conversations based on the candidate's answers. It primarily evaluates responses to preset questions. - Are AI's assessments fully credible? Could it be biased or misjudged?
The AI's assessment capabilities are based on generalized macromodels that it has been trained on, so it inherits the strengths and potential limitations of these models. To solve this problem, Equip AI Interviews provides detailed textual explanations of each score, so that recruiters can see the AI's "thought process". At the same time, the recruiter has the final say and can manually modify the score given by the AI at any time. - Do candidates feel that they have a bad experience interviewing with AI?
Some candidates may feel that this format lacks a human touch. However, it also provides a convenience to candidates as they can complete the interview at their own convenient time and in a comfortable environment, reducing the tension of a live interview. The design of the platform also strives to be simple and friendly so that candidates can get started easily. - Is there a cost to using this tool?
The platform offers free trial credits, and new users can earn 50 free credits to experience the service. The pricing model for official use is "$1 per candidate", which is a relatively cost-effective option for positions that require processing a large number of applications.
