Creation Process Details
CopyCat uses a no-code design and creates tasks in two main ways:
- natural language input
- Login to the dashboard and click "New Automation".
- Describe the task in a complete sentence in the input box, e.g., "Log into the CRM system every Monday at 9 a.m., export last week's customer data and send it to the team Slack channel"
- Note the inclusion ofTime frequency, specific operational stepsand other key elements
- Screen Recording Conversion
- Click "Record Screen" to start recording browser actions.
- Complete demonstration of the task flow (e.g., website login → navigate to report page → click export button)
- The system automatically recognizes interactive behaviors such as clicking, typing, scrolling, etc.
Best Practice Recommendations
- For operations that contain sensitive information (such as password entry), use the platform-providedSecure Field Storagefunctionality
- Complex tasks are recommended to be split into multiple subtasks to be recorded separately
- Be sure to test the integrity of the process by using the "Run" button after the initial creation.
Scripts generated in both ways can be fine-tuned in the editor, such as modifying time parameters or data output formats.
