Encrypted record sharing workflow
To share conversation logs while protecting privacy, a step-by-step process is required:
Step 1: Export Encryption
1. Log in to your web-based Proton account
2. Click "Export" in the target dialog box, select "Password Protected PDF" format.
3. Setting a strong password (12 digits with special characters recommended)
Step 2: Secure transmission
- Send encrypted attachments via Proton Mail (automatic E2EE)
- Or upload files to Proton Drive to generate time-sensitive share links (up to 7 days)
Step 3: Privilege control
- For medical/legal and other sensitive content, it is recommended to use the "No Printing/Copying" option of PDF.
- Enterprise users can be authenticated in conjunction with Proton's S/MIME certificates
Note: Free users can export up to 5 conversations at a time, team collaboration scenarios recommend using Lumo Plus' batch export feature. All exported files remain zero-access encrypted.
