macOS System Level Integration Solution
To address the need for grammar checking across applications (e.g. Pages to Word and then cutting emails) during the writing process, Refine achieves seamless integration through the following design:
- System Input Monitoring: Capture the contents of all text input boxes in real time via macOS's Accessibility API
- Intelligent Focus Tracking: Automatically reload the text of the currently active window when a window switch is detected (you need to enable the "Follow Focus" option in the settings).
- Harmonization of Corrective Memory: All application modifications are stored in ~/Library/Containers/com.refine.pro/Data/Library/Preferences/.
Specific operational procedures:
- After installation, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility to authorize Refine control permissions.
- Check "Cross-Application Synchronization" in Refine preferences.
- When using the Cmd+` shortcut to switch between different text applications, a blue indicator is displayed in the lower right corner to confirm that the check is in effect
