Document workflow optimization for offline environments
For unstable network scenarios, Docs' offline feature provides a complete solution:
- Automatic caching mechanism: The local browser stores the last 10 documents opened (configurable)
- Conflict Detection Algorithms: Automatically compares version differences when reconnecting to the network and intelligently indicates merge conflicts
- Manual synchronized control: Allow users to choose the timing of synchronization to avoid wasted traffic.
Operating Instructions:
- Before you go: Enable the "Force offline caching" option in the settings to load the required documents in advance.
- Offline: Edit the document normally, the system will keep a record of the changes locally (need to ensure that the browser is not closed)
- Restore network: Click on the synchronization icon in the upper right corner and select "Smart Merge" to deal with possible conflicts.
- Extreme cases: content can be migrated manually via export/re-import (format selection .odt preserves metadata)
Note: Regularly clearing the browser cache may affect the offline data, and it is recommended to use it with export backup.
