Since the personal home version of copilot pro is advertised with the phrase "unrestricted use of GPT-4 during peak hours" (which corresponds to non-copilot pro users dropping down to GPT-3.5 during peak hours), many people assume that this continues to be the case.

In fact, copilot has been using the GPT-4o model since September 2024, especially in the commercial version of copilot for Microsoft 365, where all the copilot features in the app are based on the GPT-4o model.
