The summary generation function of ytt-mcp supports two triggering methods, both of which require preparation of the target video URL:
Raycast Interaction Mode::
- Copy the video link (e.g. https://youtube.com/watch?v=xxx)
- Enter the preset command template (with Key Takeaways and Theme Wise Breakdown structured fields) in the Raycast input box
- The system automatically returns reports in Markdown format with timestamps.
Command line batch mode: Byuvx ytt-mcp --url URL --prompt '总结模板'Trigger, suitable for batch processing scenarios. The prompt parameter supports defining the output structure using the EJS template syntax.
advanced skill: Configured in config.jsonsummary_levelParameters control the granularity of the summary (1-5 levels), level3 and above generates additional: glossary of terms, analysis of speakers' roles, labeling of controversial points and other in-depth information. Educational videos are recommended to use level4 configuration to get an enhanced report with graphs and charts related to knowledge points.
