Multi-language Hybrid Editing Operation Guide
OpenUtau supports mixing Japanese, English, and Chinese lyrics in a single project with the following key steps:
- Basic settings::
- Confirm the installation of the phoneme converter for the desired language in Preferences → Phonemizers.
- Specify the default language for each track (right-click on the track → Singer Properties)
- Practical editing tips::
- Directly input lyrics in different languages (e.g. Japanese+English+Chinese)
- Press Ctrl+Enter to force a refresh of the phoneme transitions.
- Right-click on a specific note and select "Override Phonemes" to manually correct it.
- Advanced Configuration::
- Make a customized phoneme mapping table (edit phonetic_mapping.txt)
- Installation of cross-language phoneme plug-ins (e.g. Arpasing International)
- Marking Language Switching Points with CLR Parameters
Note: Some speech libraries may require a separate oto.ini configuration to handle mixed languages correctly. When encountering anomalies in pronunciation, it is recommended to test by separating the different language passages with blank notes first.
