Offline Mode Data Security Tips
Dinox's local-first design guarantees offline availability, but needs to be coupled with the following solutions to ensure data security:
- Storage Monitoring::
- Regularly check the status of local storage (Settings → Storage → View Remaining Space)
- A warning pop-up will appear when a single note exceeds 10MB.
- Turn off background storage hogging for other apps (especially phone album backups, etc.)
- synchronization strategy::
- Manually synchronize the latest version before starting offline work (click on the cloud icon to force synchronization)
- Set the frequency of automatic synchronization (recommended to change to "every 30 minutes" instead of relying on real-time synchronization only)
- Observe the synchronization status icon after restoring the network (red exclamation point requires manual intervention)
- Backup Solutions::
- Enable dual backup (Settings → Backup → check both iCloud/Google Drive)
- Perform local export of key notes (PDF+Markdown dual format storage)
- Use the "Version History" function to go back (right-click on notes → View Changes)
Contingency: If a synchronization conflict is encountered, a specific version can be restored by timestamp at dinox.info/recovery.
