The MMSVG dataset is a core training resource released as a companion to the OmniSVG project, and currently contains two specialized subsets: MMSVG-Icon, which is dedicated to UI design, and MMSVG-Illustration, which is geared towards artistic creation, totaling about 2 million SVG data samples. The dataset is hosted on the Hugging Face platform under a full open source license.
From a technical point of view, the MMSVG-Icon subset mainly contains vector icons in minimalist styles, which are especially suitable for training UI element generation models after professional cleaning and standardization; while the MMSVG-Illustration subset contains a large number of artistic illustrations with complex paths and color gradients, which provide valuable materials for researching advanced SVG generation techniques.
The value of the dataset is also reflected in the supporting evaluation system. The project team has developed the MMSVG-Bench benchmarking protocol, which can systematically evaluate the performance of the generated results in terms of path accuracy and style consistency. With the addition of the character subset in the future, MMSVG will become a complete SVG dataset covering the three major areas of icons, illustrations and characters.
